Our story starts with Jaimie Bubb, navigating life’s clutter with empathy, energy, and excellence — giving you peace of mind.
My name is Jaimie Bubb, and I’m the founder of Urge to Purge. I live in Northern Kentucky with my supportive husband and three amazing kiddos.
I’m a nurse by background, so I have always wanted — even needed — to help others. I spent a handful of years as a bedside nurse, then moved into chronic care coaching before eventually landing in Health IT. Mental health has always been at the forefront of my mind: mine, my family’s, my children’s.
My brother adopted a beautiful baby girl in 2023. Between the stress of life, a new baby, and work, he had a mental health crisis that led him to take a leave from work. I wanted to help in whatever way I could, so I decided to tackle all the little areas of clutter that pile up — hoping it would lighten the load just a little.
The experience of helping my brother and his family quickly made me realize that this work isn’t just important, it’s needed. As selfish as it might sound, this work is cathartic for me. I love the before and after pictures, but more importantly, I love the before and after client vibes. Most times when we start a project people are anxious, overwhelmed, even embarrassed. When I leave, you can feel them breathe easier — shoulders back, energy shifted into optimism and excitement.
The biggest compliment to the work I do is when a client still has that “urge” long after I’ve gone, and keeps purging on their own.
My husband, Terry, handles the business side behind the scenes so I can be in your home doing the work. Nearly twenty years of marriage and three kids have taught us that complementary strengths are the whole trick.
The mission is simple: Clear Space, Clear Mind. There is no job too big or too small — our job is to tackle your project for what you need.
We do the job properly, and we do all the heavy lifting so you don’t have to.
Every project is unique. We keep the process simple and move with purpose.
We lead with understanding, never judgment. This is a judgment-free zone.
We want you comfortable — and we bring the energy to get the job done.
Urge to Purge is a small Northern Kentucky business, and most clients find us through a neighbor, a realtor, or something Jaimie said on a local stage. A few of those moments:
Good Neighbor Podcast: Union, February 2025. Jaimie talks with host Mike Murphy about nursing, her brother’s basement, and why clutter and anxiety travel together. About 31 minutes.
On January 13, 2026, Jaimie was one of three experts on the Ellevate Her Power Hour panel New Year: Refresh Your Space, Style & Spirit, covering how to declutter a closet and build spaces that support a calmer year.
Jaimie is a member of BNI Southwest Ohio Northern Kentucky, the referral network of local business owners who meet weekly and send each other clients they trust.
Andrea Bey of KW Realty Services lists Urge to Purge among her trusted home service providers for downsizing, decluttering, packing, and unpacking before a listing.
Each December we run Grinch & Give, a toy drive for Northern Kentucky families. Watch our Facebook page each fall for the date and drop-off details.
Many clients choose us for their first project, and that catapults into others throughout the home. We want you to choose us the first time — and every time after.
