Most closet advice starts with buying matching hangers. We start with what is actually in there. Everything comes out, the things you wear and love go back at eye level, and everything else gets an honest decision. The result is a closet where you can see every option in a few seconds, not a photograph you have to maintain.
We work on walk-in closets, reach-in closets, kids’ closets, linen closets and the hall closet that has become a storage unit. Small closets are a specialty: organizing a small closet is mostly about editing, and that is the part we are good at.
Two of the closets from our project pages. Open either one to read how the day went.
A walk-in closet in Park Hills that had lost its floor entirely, now with a walkway, jeans hung together and jewelry on hooks at the door.
A child’s closet in Covington, with the rail lowered so she can reach her own clothes and labeled bins above for what she is not using yet.
The same four steps we use in every room, applied to the one room where they matter most often.
Pull — Everything out, onto the bed. It is the only way to see how much of one thing you own, and there is always one thing.
Purge — Four piles: keep, donate, sell, mend-or-toss. The rule is simple: if you have not worn it in a year and it does not fit today, it is not a closet item, it is a keepsake or a donation.
Plan — Hanging for the things that wrinkle, folded for the things that stretch, drawers or bins for the small stuff. Everyday clothes at eye level. Occasion clothes at the ends. Seasonal items high or in a bin.
Place — Hangers spaced so you can see each item. Shoes on a rack, not the floor. One empty shelf on purpose, because a closet with no space is back to the before photo in a month.
A reach-in closet is a few hours. A walk-in with years in it is usually one session. A closet plus the bedroom around it is one long session or two.
No. We declutter first, then tell you exactly what would help, if anything. Most closets need fewer things, not more containers.
We are based in Union, Kentucky and organize closets across Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati, including Covington, Park Hills, Florence, Independence, Walton, Crescent Springs and Cincinnati. Have a look at more before and after projects.
The first visit is free, in your home or over the phone, and you are under no obligation to book anything after it.
